Real-time Editing of Files in AdminProject

Managing projects is all about teamwork – and effective teamwork requires seamless communication and collaboration. That’s why AdminProject is excited to introduce one of its most requested features: real-time file editing.

Whether you are updating project documentation, co-authoring a report or completing a participant list, there is now the option to edit files live – no downloading, re-uploading. In other words, collaboration just got a whole lot easier.

How It Works

Real-time editing is integrated directly into AdminProject’s document storage system. Here’s how you can use it:

  1. Find the file you want to edit (e.g., .docx, .xlsx, or .pptx files).
  2. Click on the three dots (⋯) to the right of the file name.
  3. Select ‘Open in Office for the web’ from the drop-down menu.
  4. The file will open in a new browser tab.
  5. All changes made to the document will automatically be saved in the original file on the Admin Project platform.

As a result, there’s no need for extra tools or additional file uploads. This makes real-time file editing in AdminProject simple and accessible, even for users without advanced technical skills.

Remember to edit your Office d ocuments in AdminProject using Microsoft Office Online. You need to register for Office 365 at office.com and start collaborating more efficiently – directly from your browser! To access the full functionality, including editing and saving documents, you must have an active Office 365 subscription or a Microsoft 365 package that supports Office Online. Without logging in, you can still preview and print documents in read-only mode, but full functionality requires signing in.
