Stay Focused: Introducing Project Muting in AdminProject

We know that staying informed is crucial for Erasmus+ project success. Whether you are managing a KA2 Strategic Partnership or coordinating a KA1 mobility project, communication between international partners is constant. However, as your consortium grows and tasks pile up, your inbox can quickly become overwhelmed with notifications for every single document upload or minor task update. To help you reclaim your focus and reduce “inbox fatigue,” we are excited to announce a new feature: Project Muting.

Silence the Noise, Keep the Context

Effective project management isn’t about seeing every single change; it’s about seeing the right information at the right time. This is a game-changer for Erasmus+ coordinators who may be overseeing several different projects simultaneously. You can now stay active in the platform without being bombarded by emails from projects that are currently in a “quiet” phase. With the new Mute function, you can now silence general notifications for specific projects. When a project is muted, you will no longer receive automated emails for every minor change or routine task update.

This is perfect for projects where you play a secondary role or those with high activity levels that don’t require your constant attention.

How to Mute a Project: Step-by-Step

Activating this feature is simple and takes only a few seconds. Follow these steps to customize your notification settings:

1. Log in to your AdminProject account.

Never Miss What Truly Matters

Muting a project doesn’t mean you’ll miss a deadline or an urgent request from a partner. Even if a project is muted, you will still receive an email notification if a team member uses the @mention feature (typing @ followed by your username).

Transparency is key in international teams: When you mute a project, your partners will see a crossed-out notification symbol next to your name, letting them know that the best way to reach your inbox directly is by using the @mention function.

This ensures that you only receive an email when your specific input or action is required, effectively cutting out the background noise while keeping the lines of communication open for what’s important.

Pro Tip for Project Teams: Use the @mention specifically for tasks that require an official signature, urgent feedback on a report, or a direct question to a partner. This ensures that while the “background noise” is muted, the milestones and deliverables remain front and center.

Why this matters for Erasmus+ Consortia:

  • Consortium Harmony: Partners can work at their own pace without worrying about “spamming” the group with small updates.
  • Audit-Ready, Not Email-Heavy: Keep all logs in AdminProject for future reporting, but only receive emails when your personal input is needed.
  • Reduced Inbox Fatigue: Focus your energy on the actual impact of your project activities rather than administrative notifications.

Give your inbox the break it deserves today. Head over to your profile and take control of your notifications!
